هوندا در حال حاضر پیستون‌های موتور را از آلیاژ فولاد کروم-مولیبدن می‌سازد، در حالی که منافذ در معرض صیقل دهی فوق‌العاده قرار گرفته‌اند و باعث حرکت نرم پیستون می‌گردد. علاوه بر این، هوندا ادعا می‌کند که موتور به لطف استحکام و سختی بیشتر در داخل آن، بهبود یافته و صدای کمتری را وارد کابین سرنشین می‌کند.
